Poster of Artworks for Beijing Dangdai Art Fair 2025|Yang Xinguang:Red Clay 20241
Beijing Dangdai Art Fair 2025 will release a series of posters centered on the works exhibited at the fair. These works not only offer possible interpretations and responses to the theme “CONCAVE & CONVEX”, but also serve as highlights previews of important works and participating galleries at the fair. The poster shared this time is from the Beijing Commune,a poetic ceramic work by artist Yang Xingguang
Merging delicate porcelain vessels with found organic materials-deadleaves, dried grasses, and carved branches, Yang Xinguang’s workappearing at once functional and poetic, interrogates the hierarchiesof materials. The ceramic containers, shaped with precise apertures tocradle each stem, leaf and stick, act as both sanctuary andinteruption. While clay itself originates from the earth, its fired formsevers the natural connection, suspending decomposition andtransforming transient debris into static artifacts. The once-driftingdetritus, now held in delicate stasis, occupies a liminal space betweenlife and dissolution. With an interplay of fragility and resilience, theworks linger as quiet monuments to entropy, where ceramic eleganceand organic decline converge in unresolved dialogue swayingbetween the eternal and ephemeral.
