Poster of Artworks for Beijing Dangdai Art Fair 2025|Bian Shaozhi:Photosynthesis
Beijing Dangdai Art Fair 2025 will release a series of posters centered on the works exhibited at the fair. These works not only offer possible interpretations and responses to the theme “CONCAVE & CONVEX”, but also serve as highlights previews of important works and participating galleries at the fair. The poster shared this time is from the EAST GALLERY, A latest creation by the artist Bian Shaozhi.
Bian Shaozhi’s artistic creations have always been exploring cultural roots in the interweaving of tradition and contemporary. This exploration is not a deliberate splicing of styles, but a display of oriental beauty after continuous in-depth study of his own culture. His works have never been a simple depiction of reality, but a poetic reconstruction of a rich and noble spiritual world by using transparent thin coatings and seemingly simple but elegant brushstrokes, to construct a world that accommodates thousands of thoughts. This is a poetic reconstruction of the rich and noble spiritual world.
This work “Photosynthesis” depicts three radishes growing in the dark night. A huge rainbow hangs under the starry sky with light. In such a wonderful atmosphere, the three radishes are growing vigorously. Half of them are exposed from the soil, as if emitting a faint light, and spitting out tall leaves. Bian Shaozhi named this work “Photosynthesis“. It is no longer just a simple depiction of plants, but by describing the scene of strong growth of fresh vitality, it resonates with the viewer and evokes everyone’s initial pursuit of ideals. This pursuit of ideals is noble and romantic.
