The video column “Beijing Art Stories” is specially planned by the Beijing Dangdai Art Fair, using precious video materials to trace memories back to Beijing over twenty years ago, when contemporary Chinese art was emerging. It brings to life moments and figures filled with experimental spirit and passionate focus from the past. The series is divided into six episodes: Installation, Vernissage, Discussion, Dinner, Living, and Promenade. From the National Agricultural Exhibition Center to the old factory buildings of 798, and to the bustling dining tables in the alleys, these art stories document the exploration, breakthroughs, and lives of a generation of artists. With pure creativity and belief, they have sown seeds for today’s rich and diverse art ecology.
